The new Canadian guidelines for immigrants and refugees have been published by the Canadian Medical Association Journal. The guidelines provide detailed coverage of general health conditions such as infectious diseases, noncommunicable diseases, and women’s health.
AHRQ Health Literacy Universal Precautions Toolkit Now Available
In February, DiversityRx hosted a webinar on using a health literacy self-assessment tool to guide quality improvement in primary care. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is proud to announce that the tool discussed, the Health Literacy Universal Precautions Toolkit, is now available.
The theme of the 2010 conference is “Improving health care for culturally diverse populations: A new place on the national health agenda.” From state initiatives to accreditation standards to national health care reform, improving the health of culturally diverse populations is on the agenda of our country’s health policymakers.
